"Yo I don't see no 3-D"
Go herre, as Jon Caramanica has joined the blogosphere (Is that a word? I hope not).
I agree with what Jon says about the new Illmatic, which is far from deluxe. The remixes are worse than you can imagine--it's a small price to pay for cleaner snares and vibier xylophone. Nice to have "Star Wars" and "On the Real" (the grimier bootleg version is still better) but they would have seemed less out-of-place on Lost Tapes 2.
The DVD, however, has its moments. Among them:
+Nas apparently -really- likes Wild Style
+He got scolded for eating the crew's food on the set of "Halftime"
+They were supposed to flood the nation with 3-D glasses for the "Nastradamus" video. It didn't work.
