Purpose
The early U.S. History and Social Studies quiz is
designed to promote your subject knowledge of United States History through educational technologies. Your Teacher has probably already explained the early history of the
first Pilgrims landing, the Native American inhabitants, and the Spanish and
the French colonists who populated North America. Teacher has probably
explained the many root causes of conflict and war among these groups of
people and how their way of life, their clothing, their respect, or
lack of it, for the natural resources of this land all played a part in tying
together these precious groups and individuals.
You may ask yourselves,
“Why would a 5th grade
class of students be interested in a history quiz?
This easy to follow
interactive quiz includes a brief narrative of the first Pilgrims landing
, the Indians , the Spanish , the Dutch and the French colonists
who settled in colonial America followed
by a thought provoking presentation of calligraphic maps , early
artifacts, illustrations and images of early inhabitants of colonial America. You will further your technical
awareness for quiz interaction by identifying, sorting and classify
groups and objects related to how groups
come together and relate to each other.
Since, the worth of people should be respected as a universal right and
a precious privilege, I thought it would be
interesting to explore the concept of mutual respect, friendship and peace as a
precious rule of thumb in the building of human relationships as opposed to
mutual destruction, savagery and war. In the words of George Santayana (1863-1952) philosopher, essayist, poet and novelist “Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it.”
Presently, as well as in early periods of history,
the basic universal rights of people
have been called into question by inflexible and intolerant groups and nations
who have been oppressing the sovereignty their fellow men, women and children’s
rights around the world. In this history
quiz, you as students can ponder an excellent website topic which is intended to
strengthen U.S. History and Social Studies subject knowledge and promote the
cause of mutual respect, friendship and peace as a precious rule of thumb in the
building of healthy human relations.
