An attempt to make some sense of the period in the history of English literature which is at once most neglected, amorphous, and creative. Special attention given to Malory and the development of romance, the morality plays and mystery plays, and the beginnings of renewed European influence. Wyatt and Surrey as well as the Scots poets.
