This course offers a clear and practical set of steps for the stage director. Based on constant scene work brought in by the directors, emphasis is placed on techniques for telling the story clearly on stage, text analysis, working with actors, the mechanics of running rehearsals, character definition, directorial interpretation, and incorporation of design. All work is geared toward concrete results in rehearsal and performance.
