Visiting Scholars Program
Scholars on sabbatical leave from their home universities or those with outside funding may apply to become Visiting Scholars at the Davis Center. Commonly, Visiting Scholars arrange for a living stipend from an outside source such as Fulbright, IREX, or the Social Science Research Council. They conduct research on individual projects, attend seminars regularly, and are required to present their work at least one seminar during their tenure. Visiting Scholars receive borrowing privileges at Widener Library. In many cases, shared office space at the Center is available. Visiting Scholars may apply to be in residence at the Center for up to two years.
Application Procedure
Applications are evaluated on a rolling basis. To apply, please email a project proposal and CV to Joan Gabel, dcpdoc@fas.harvard.edu.
Project proposals should be formatted as a single-spaced document of approximately 2,500 words in English.
