I am currently an Advanced Study Program post-doctoral fellow at the National Center for Atmospheric Research working with Clara Deser. My research focuses on understanding and modeling temperature variability and change, with a focus on connections between large-scale atmospheric variability and the observed surface climate. My most recent work is on changes in and causes of extreme temperature events.
New! Check out my predictions for hot weather in the Eastern US based upon our recent Nature Geoscience paper, Long-lead predictions of eastern United States hot days from Pacific sea surface temperatures. The predictions are updated daily here.
